How to Freeze Unopened Cream Cheese

  1. Place unopened cream cheese directly into the freezer with the foil wrapping intact.
  2. If you want to secure unopened cream cheese, you can also cover it in plastic wrap over the foil.
  3. Alternatively, you can also use a sealable vacuum bag to ensure air does not penetrate the foil packaging.

 

How to Freeze Opened Cream Cheese

  1. Place remaining cream cheese in a plastic bag or sealable container. (If you use a container, use cling wrap to cover it for added protection.)

  2. Put a date label on the cream cheese and store it in the freezer.

Notes

Cream cheese can be frozen for up to 6 months.
