Caramelizer Dutch Bros Recipe (Copycat)

The homemade version of the Dutch Bros Caramelizer recipe for the ultimate caramel mocha is taken to the next level with a base of chocolate milk rather than the typical squirt of chocolate syrup.

Our quick and easy technique can be used to create an iced caramelizer or your standard hot caramelizer, for an iced simply reduce the amount of chocolate milk by half and top with a handful of iced cubes.

If you don’t have chocolate milk at home then make your own by mixing two tablespoons of chocolate syrup with one cup of milk then whisking together.

Ingredients

  • 1 oz caramel sauce
  • 2 oz espresso, freshly brewed
  • 1 cup chocolate milk
  • 1 tbsp whipped cream (optional)

Instructions

  1. Into an espresso cup add the caramel sauce then freshly brew your espresso.
  2. Stir the hot espresso through the caramel sauce to combine well.
  3. Next add the chocolate milk into a cup then place in a microwave for 30 seconds to warm.
  4. Combine the warm chocolate milk and caramel espresso together, whisk until well mixed. 
  5. Transfer the mixture to a tall glass. 
  6. Finally, top the Caramelizer Dutch Bros with whipped cream and serve.
