This drink can be served both hot, chilled with ice, or even with boba to create a Hong Kong-style honey milk tea.

Learn how to make honey milk tea by following these steps.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 tea bag (such as Ceylon, earl grey or English breakfast)
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • ice, to serve (optional)

Instructions

  1. Pour water into a kettle and bring to a boil. While the water is boiling, place the tea bag into a serving cup.
  2. Once boiled, pour half of a cup of boiling water into the serving cup and allow the tea to infuse for 1 minute. Remove the teabag and discard it.
  3. Then add the condensed milk and honey, stir to combine, and taste for sweetness.
  4. (Optional) add a few ice cubes to the tea to create a refreshingly sweet iced drink.
