  • 1 strong black tea bag
  • 1/2 cup strawberry milk
  • 2 oz tapioca pearls, quick-cooking
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • ice, to serve

Instructions

  1. Boil a kettle of water then pour half a cup of boiling water into a jug and add the strong black tea. Allow the tea to infuse and prepare the tapioca pearls.
  2. Place a small saucepan on the stove and fill halfway with water. Set the stove to high and bring the water to a boil then pour in the tapioca pearls.
  3. Stir the tapioca pearls to prevent them from sticking to one another then cook for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, strain and rinse with cold water.
  4. Remove the tea bag from the tea and discard, then stir in the sugar to dissolve.
  5. Into a tall glass add the cooked tapioca pearls and ice, then top with the tea and strawberry milk.
  6. Serve with a large straw and stir to combine.
