  • Method: blend
  • Cuisine: drink

Ingredients

Scale
  • 0.5 cups fresh/frozen blueberries
  • 0.5 cups fresh/frozen raspberries
  • 0.75 cup unsweetened almond milk (chilled)
  • 1 Tbsp blue spirulina powder
  • 0.25 tsp vanilla extract
  • A handful of fresh blueberries & raspberries (for garnishing) (optional)

Instructions

  • In a blender, add the blueberries & raspberries.
  • Now, add the chilled almond milk, blue spirulina powder & vanilla extract.
  • Next, blend until well combined into a smoothie.

Pour into glasses, garnish with fresh blueberries & raspberries, and enjoy!

Notes

  • In case the berries seem a bit sour, you may stir in some honey, maple syrup, or agave nectar for sweetness.
  • Instead of spirulina powder, you can use moringa powder.
  • You may choose to use any dairy or plant-based milk in place of almond milk. Additionally, you may substitute the milk with Greek yogurt or a frozen banana for a thicker consistency.
  • If you enjoy your smoothie extra-cold, add some ice cubes or crushed ice into the blender.
  • If you want the smoothie to have a creamier texture you can also add a banana.
