Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • 8 leaves spearmint
  • 1 slice lemon
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp honey (optional)

Instructions

  1. Place a small saucepan on medium heat and add the water.
  2. Bring the water to the boil then remove the saucepan from the heat.
  3. Add the spearmint leaves to the boiling water and allow to infuse for 5 minutes, steep for longer for a stronger tea.
  4. Strain the spearmint tea into a glass and add the lemon slice, lemon juice and honey. 
  5. Serve the tea hot or chilled with plenty of ice.
