  • 6 prunes
  • ½ cup water, hot
  • 1 cup apple juice
  • ¼ tsp ground cinnamon (optional) 
  • ice cubes, to serve

Instructions

  1. Place prunes into a bowl.
  2. Then pour the hot water over the prunes and allow them to soak for 20 minutes.
  3. After 30 minutes the prunes will be plump and juicy having soaked up the water.
  4. Transfer the prunes, soaking liquid, apple juice, and ground cinnamon (optional) to a blender.
  5. Blitz for 3 minutes to form a smooth puree.
  6. Place a strainer over a glass and pour in the prune juice, discard any leftover solids caught in the strainer.
  7. Serve the prune juice with a few ice cubes or chill in the refrigerator till ready to enjoy.
