Aveda tea recipe which is a homemade version of Aveda’s Comfort Tea.

An aromatic beverage with a strong herbal flavor of licorice, the calming drink is ideal for relaxing at the end of a long day.

Using natural ingredients the licorice will destress the body and sweetly calm the mind.

  • ½ cup licorice root, chopped
  • ½ cup peppermint leaves
  • ¼ cup basil leaves
  • 1 tsp fennel seed
  • 1 cup water


  1. In a bowl combine the licorice root, peppermint leaves, basil leaves and fennel seeds, stir together to mix evenly.
  2. Place a saucepan on the stove at high heat and add the water.
  3. Bring the water to a boil and pour in the mixed herbs, remove the saucepan from the stove.
  4. Steep the tea for 5 minutes then strain into a glass and serve the Aveda tea hot.
