Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 tsp black tea leaves (such as Assam or Darjeeling)
  • 3/4 cup full-fat milk
  • 1 tsp honey

Instructions

  1. Place a small saucepan over a high heat then add the water. Bring the water to a boil then pour in the tea leaves.
  2. Reduce the saucepan to a simmer and infuse the black tea leaves for 2 minutes.
  3. After 2 minutes, add the full-fat milk and honey. Warm the milk for 2 minutes then strain into a tea cup.
  4. This drink can be served hot as a traditional tea or poured into a glass with ice for a rich and creamy iced Hokkaido Milk tea.
