A Japanese Royal Milk Tea recipe using a blend of tea leaves to create the calming, elegant drink which is loved in Japan.

The royal naming is due to the richness that the tea provides, made on the stove to concentrate the tea flavors and reduce the milk until thickened and creamy.

The tea is typically a blend of Darjeeling, Assam, or Ceylon which create a floral scent and deep flavor.

In Japan, the tea can be found bottled, canned, hot or over ice, follow our recipe below for the classic warm version.
