Ingredients
- 2 cups of filtered water
- 8–10 saffron strands
- 1 teaspoon tea leaves
- 0.25 cup milk (room temperature)
- 1 teaspoon granulated sugar (optional)
Instructions
- Start by filling a saucepan with 2 cups of water and place it on the stove over a high flame.
- Add the saffron strands and let the water come to a rolling boil.
- Now, add the tea leaves. Reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for 1 minute. Then, turn off the stove.
- Next, pour the milk and add in the sugar. Stir well and let it sit for 15-20 seconds.
- Finally, strain the tea into cups.

Notes
- This saffron tea recipe uses milk, but if desired you can skip the milk for a sunset-hued tea.
